Wound Clinic
Holmesglen wound clinic offers a wide range of wound management services from chronic to acute wounds including leg ulcers, pressure injuries, non-healing wounds of various aetiologies, post-operative wounds, trauma injuries & skin tears.
The department is managed by a Division 1 Registered Nurse with a post graduate qualification in wound management & many years’ experience in the clinical practice & teaching of wound care and management.
Patients can be referred from:
- their specialist doctor or surgeon at Holmesglen Private
- Patients must have been either been a recent/current in patient or had surgery within the last 8 weeks.

Please supply patient details, any relevant post operatives notes and wound information.
The wound clinic operates 4 mornings a week. (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
Some health funds will cover the cost of a visit however, there will be a charge for uninsured or people with funds which do not cover the visit. DVA gold card holders are covered for all treatments.
Initial consultations are up to 45 minutes, subsequent consultations take about 15 min.
Wound clinic is conveniently situated on the ground floor of building 1, near reception. There is a waiting area directly adjacent to the clinic. If you are very early we have a café onsite.
Holmesglen Private Hospital has a variety of parking for patients, there is a 2 hour car park directly in front of the hospital for a small fee. Alternatively, we have a large drop and go area at the front of the hospital to accommodate disabled patients arrival and departure.
Our reception staff can also call a taxi for you.
