Intensive Care Unit and Coronary Care Unit

Welcome to Holmesglen Private Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Coronary Care (CCU) Unit.

Patients are admitted to the Intensive Care or Coronary Care Units when they require care and close monitoring from a specialist medical and nursing team.

It is our aim that both the patient and their immediate family or carer feel confident and supported throughout the time spent with us.

Our Intensive and Coronary care

Holmesglen Private Hospital’s ICU offers 24 hour medical care that is directed by a medical specialist who is a Fellow of the College of Intensive Care Medicine, in collaboration with treating surgeons and other medical specialists.

The medical and nursing staff have undertaken postgraduate education to equip them to work in this specialist field.

A number of different types of equipment are used to monitor each patient’s clinical condition.

These monitors have alarms that you will hear chime as part of their normal operation.

Your feedback helps us improve the quality of our patient care, so we encourage you to speak with Nurse Unit Manager or the Nurse in Charge of the shift.ICU/CCU Phone: 03 9567 9270.
